Chapeau Club

Wir feierten das Leben letzten Samstag in einem wundervollen zwanziger Jahre Zirkus namens: Chapeau Club.

We celebrated life last weekend in a circus from the twenties called: Chapeau Club.

Der Chapeau Club benötigte Hilfe für ihre große Show Samstag abends...

They needed a couple of helpers for the big show saturday night...

Bambi und ich sind in unsere Schlangenbeschwörer und Meerjungfrau-Outfits gesprungen und haben wie verrückt geholfen.

So Bambi and I jumped in a snake charmer and a mermaid costume and helped like crazy.

Zu unserer großen Freude, mussten wir nicht einmal etwas für unsere Outfits kaufen oder ausleihen, alles was wir benötigten fanden wir in unseren Kleiderschränken. Da merkt man einmal mehr, wie wunderbar es ist mit drei Frauen unter einem Dach zu leben. Wir waren überglücklich.And it was amazing, we didn´t even have to buy or borrow clothes... everything we needed was right in our closets. There you can see how lovely it is to live with three girls in one teeny tiny flat. We were lucky Bambi & Birdy.

Unsere Aufgabe im Zirkus selbst bestand darin, die Menschen noch schöner aussehen zu lassen, als sie eh schon waren. So verteilten wir Make up and overs, verstreuten Glitzer überall und tanzten mit wunderschönen Burlesque Tänzerinnen.We gave beautiful make ups and overs, sprinkled glitter everywhere and danced around with gorgeous burlesque dancers.

Wir lernten viel über Clown Medizin, zwanziger Jahre Outfits und Regentanz, sodass wir super gerne mal wieder bei einer Show dabei wären!We learned so much about clown medicine, golden twenties and dancing in the rain that we would love to be again big helpers! We had an incredible time!

Das Geburtstagsgeschenk für MaLu war dieses Jahr ein Ausflug mit B&B...

Ihr seht richtig, es sind zwei super süße Zwillings Mädels, die uns mit ihrer Energie und Freude angesteckt haben. Wir kennen MaLu schon ihr ganzes Leben lang und hoffen sie weiter aufwachsen zu sehen!

This day was a birthday gift for MaLu! 

Yeah you can see right, there are two sweet blond girly twins in the pic. 

We know them for a really long time, probably their whole lifes! They have so much energy and are a lot of fun to hang out with!

MaLus Geburtstagswunsch war es auf den Gasometer in Oberhausen zu steigen. 

Glücklicherweise war zur selben Zeit eine wunderbare Ausstellung von Christo & Jean Claude. 

Also haben wir alles in einen Pott geworfen... uns gebildet, begeistern lassen und alles abgerundet mit einem großen Snack für die Kids und Bambi...

Es war ein guter Tag!

Their dream was to go to the top of the "Gasometer"in Oberhausen.

And it was our lucky day because at the same time, inside was a wonderful exhibition about Christo & Jean Claude. So we mixed up the day ... got inspired, learned a lot and at the end the kids and Bambi had a big snack...

We had a perfect day!

Our lovely friend Nirhtak has her 24th birthday today!
We wish her a lovely day in the Netherlands, where she went to celebrate and are looking forward to see her soon!

Bambi and Birdy are reunited- after a couple of wonderful weeks in France, Bambi finally arrived back home!
We are celebrating our reunion with cinema, rose wine and a loooooot of icecream.

Wie schnell die Tage doch verfliegen...Heute ist der Tag, auf den meine wunderbare hermanita ein halbes Jahr gewartet hat. Ihr Ziel ist Pau in Frankreich... um zu studieren, zu leben und zu lieben... und natürlich um die süße Freiheit und neue Abendteuer kennen zu lernen...
Wir werden dich unglaublich vermissen, mehr als du erahnen kannst!

Something Sweet Sunday...double chocolate cake!

Rezept:

Für den Schokokuchen:

1 1/4 Tassen Mehl

1 Tasse Zucker

1/3 Tasse Kakaopulver

1 PK Backpulver

1 Prise Salz

1 EL Vanillezucker

1/3 Tasse Öl (vorzugsweise Soja-Öl)

Schuss klaren Essig

1 Tasse warmes Wasser

300g weiße Schokolade

für den Teig: alle trockenen Zutaten mischen

danach alles flüssige zu den trockenen Zutaten geben

in eine eingefetteten Form geben

30 Minuten backen lassen

abkühlen lassen

Schokolade schmelzen und über den Kuchen gießen

for the chocolate cake:

recipe:

1 1/4 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup cacao powder
1 big spoon backing soda
1 little spoon vanilla sugar
1/3 cup vegan oil
1 cup warm water
and a lacing of vinegar

300g white chocolate

mix all the dry ingredients 

after mixing the dry ingredients at the liquid stuff

mix everything together and fill it in a from 

bake 30 minutes

melt white chocolate and pour over cool cake

Saarbrücken Review

Wir entschuldigen uns vielmals, denn fat-cat-connection ist in Urlaubsstimmung und wird deswegen in den nächsten zwei Wochen weniger als üblich posten. Aber danach sind wir zurück und posten in normaler Routine.

ein Saarbrücken Rückblick:

Was für ein wunderbares Wochenende es wieder war... eigentlich wie immer, wenn ich mit euch Zeit verbringen kann.

Aber dieses Wochenende war noch spezieller. Es war ein Geburtstags/Abschieds Wochenenende, denn meine wunderbare - hermanita - bricht auf, neue Welten zu erobern. Ich bin aufgeregt und stolz auf dich und wünsche dir eine wunderbare Zeit in Frankreich!

We are so sorry, but fat-cat-connection is in summer-vacation moode and will continue posting a little less for about two weeks! But than we are back to a normal routine!

But this one in particular! Because it was a birthday/goodbye party for my lovely - hermanita- !
