We talked a lot about marvelous women this year. Some of them inspier us every day, or amaze us with their power and strength and others are just brave and have a heart full of love.
Über großartige Frauen haben wir dieses Jahr schon viel geschrieben. Einige von Ihnen bereichern uns jeden Tag, manche haben uns durch ihre Stärke verzaubert und wieder andere durch ihre Lebensweisheit, ihren Mut und ihre Liebe.
On this second of november we are celebrating my (Bird's) dignified, enchanting and strong-minded aunt Pauline. It is her 98th birthday today.
Life marked her and not every time in nice ways, but at the end life felt pretty magical to her.
An diesem 2. November 2013 wird meine (Birds) würdevolle, zauberhafte und willensstarke Großtante Pauline stolze 98 Jahre alt.
Das Leben hat sie gezeichnet, nicht immer verschont und doch am Ende verzaubert.
Because one of her best and favorite stories is of course a story about love. About her big love.
She waited half a life to fall in love with, in her eyes, the most amazing and handsome guy.
She never complaind waiting for him so long and even after the short time they could spend together, she never wanted to change anything or to fall in love again. For her there was just one love, just her amazing and handsome husband.
She still gets light in her eyes when she talks about him, her heart beats a little quicker and in this moment everyone can feel, that the most important thing in life is not traveling a lot, having a lot but rather to love and be loved, at least once in your lifetime.
Einer ihrer besten Geschichten ist die, dass sie ein halbes Leben auf ihre große Liebe gewartet hat, um diese am Ende nach nur wenigen zwanzig Jahren gehen lassen zu müssen.
Spricht sie heute von ihrer großen Liebe, leuchten ihre Augen, hört man ihr Herz höher schlagen und man merkt , dass am Ende jedes Lebens es nicht darauf ankommt, was man gesehen hat, wie viel man besessen hat... sondern wie sehr man lieben durfte und wieder geliebt wurde!
I hope she stays a little longer to inspire me!
Ich hoffe so sehr, dass diese wunderbare Frau noch eine Weile auf Erden ist, damit sie mich weiter bereichert kann!
Cheers to TP, who told a couple of days ago, that I should never get old, because if you are old you get so damn sentimental... good to know, that I already am in this stadium...

Auf TP (Tante Pauline), die mir vor kurzem noch gesagt hat, dass ich nie alt werden soll, denn alt sein bedeutet sentimental zu werden... Gut, dass ich dieses Stadium schon jetzt erreicht habe...
